Motorcyclists have very specific requirements for their hearing protection, including protection against the noise of the wind at high speeds. Because the higher the noise level and the longer the exposure, the greater the risk of damaging your hearing. A motorcyclist can easily ride for about 15 minutes at a speed of 100 km/hour without incurring hearing damage. That figure drops to 7 minutes when the speed goes up to 120 km/hour. And at 140 km/hour the risk of damaging your hearing occurs after only three minutes!
