I am currently under investigation for Meniere's disease. Would I benefit from a hearing aid to help with speech recognition or would it be a waste of time / money? Thanks.

Meniere`s Disease is characterised by brief episodes of vertigo, tinnitus and a significant hearing loss and can sometimes progress over time, to permanent, usually low frequency hearing loss in that ear.
Your ENT consultant or GP will give advice and counselling on the treatment and likely outcome, but as the hearing loss is transient and brief, a hearing aid would not be appropriate unless your hearing becomes permanently impaired.

OK, Thanks for that. Just takes soooo long to get answers from local NHS Clinic. been seeing people about this problem for 7 months now and just finding it so frustrating. Thank you for your time. y2kosmos
