My great aunt is 85 and has been diagnosed with Parkinsons and very mild dementia. She is experiencing hearing difficulties and uses a hearing aid, but informs us that it is not the volume that is a problem, but rather that she cannot distinguish between words. Does this sound like a high frequency hearing problem? If so, why would it not have been picked up through her hearing tests? Thank you very much in advance, I would like to try to rectify this problem as soon as I can.

I have an elderly friend who suffers from arthritis in her fingers and finds it very difficult to operate a hearing aid. Do you know of any manufacturer/supplier who produces an aid which might be suitable?
